EQUAL RIGHTS ADVOCATES

Equal Rights Advocates is an organization that fights for gender justice in workplaces and schools across the country. Since 1974, they've been fighting on the front lines of social justice to protect and advance rights and opportunities for women, girls, and people of all gender identities through groundbreaking legal cases and bold legislation that sets the stage for the rest of the nation.

In 2024, Equal Rights Advocates spearheaded the Family Voices Amplified Project. Building off the first phase of their Phase 1 Findings - This project centered on deep conversations with Black and Latinx women and caregivers to uncover the biggest structural barriers preventing them and their families from thriving post the COVID-19 pandemic.  Through workshops and interviews, the project identified the following policy recommendations: securing fair wages, better job opportunities, and stronger worker protections, ensuring affordable housing, and preventing displacement.

The assistance in the project centered on driving outreach, engagement, and participation for Family Voices Amplified, project assistancenagement, and collaboration with the National Campaign Director to achieve initiative goals.
